Weekend tips of week 39

This week went by very quickly for us. It’s just another Friday. So as always today I share with you again the best weekend tips. According to Piet Paulusma it should be a sunny weekend so I’ll take him up on that. Nothing like going outside in the sun.

Corner Made Market

Regularly I share a lifestyle market at the weekend tips. Usually these markets take place in Rotterdam or The Hague. This time I found one in Hoek van Holland.

The Hoek Made Market is a lifestyle market with original, handmade and sustainable products from local entrepreneurs and creatives. For the little ones there is a carousel and they can get their faces painted. Also, from 13.00h enjoy musical performances.

You can find this market on Saturday from 11.00h till 17.00 o’clock at the Brinkplein in Hoek van Holland.

Kite Festival Scheveningen

This weekend the beach of Scheveningen is the decor for hundreds of kites from all over the world. On Saturday and Sunday there will be various demonstrations with powerkites, kite flying to music and a demo by a sport kite pilot. On both days you can admire the world’s largest kite.

This kite is 66 meters long and 25 meters wide. There will also be workshops for children where they can make their own kites. Pre-registration is required. On Saturday evening there is even an evening show at 20.00hour.

There will be many kites with lights in the air. I expect that’s a cool sight. For all information you can take a look at the website of the kite festival.

Fashionweekend Naaldwijk

In Naaldwijk this weekend the annual fashion weekend is held by the shopkeepers association. Throughout the center there will be a traveling fashion show this weekend. Various stores show off their new fall and winter collections this way. Many stores also have fun actions running. There is also a nostalgic Ferris wheel in the center on Saturday and Sunday (shopping Sunday).
