A month ago I discovered this by accident. We wanted to take a nice walk and unexpectedly came across this pond. An incredibly beautiful area with plenty of room to lie down.

And the view is fantastic. It lies between the dunes, so there is nature everywhere you look. There is a section marked off where you can swim and it is still “shallow” enough. Furthermore, there are plenty of trees along the shore where you can find shade.

There is a restaurant near the parking lot, so if you get hungry you should walk back a bit. On the beach itself children can play happily. It is also good to know that there are toilet blocks available.

The Island of Maurik (Maurik)

Sand and grass. An ideal combination. Especially for people who don’t like sand getting everywhere, like my husband. The website says it is a water paradise for young and old! I also read that they regularly organize activities, so keep an eye on the website.

And you can practice various water sports. Plenty to do for young and old. The nature and the lake are already very beautiful and if you can swim… This piece of nature is really a must.

Playpond Spokeplas (Noordwolde)

In the middle of the forest is this play pond. In this pond you can not only swim, but also climb. There are several climbing devices in the water where you can have fun.
