Weekend tips of week 35

Weekend tips for week 35

When I started this column I had resolved to run the weekend tips until the end of the summer vacations. By now schools have started again here in the region, but I still have a few fun weekend tips. So we just keep on writing. No plans for the coming weekend yet?

Read on quickly.

Toddlers and preschoolers in the wild

I wrote about the De Vreemde Vogel before. A particularly fun location in Vlaardingen, where you can eat, play and sleep. Saturday, August 29 you can come here for a super fun activity, especially aimed at toddlers and preschoolers. From 11.30-12.30h you go with your child and a guide into the wild. This way you can discover nature together, with other children.

The activity costs €5 per participant. You can sign up through the website of the Vreemde Vogel.

Kijkduin Obstacle Run

Source

Obstacle Run’s, bootcamps and all kinds of other events to test yourself physically are mega hot at the moment. Saturday August 29 you can participate in an Obstacle Run in Kijkduin. The great thing about this run is that you can also sign up with your child(ren). Children as young as 7 can join an adult for a 2.5km obstacle run. Seems like a super cool thing to do with your child.

This run starts ’in the afternoon at 15.00u.
For the real die-hards there are also runs of 4.5 and 7.5 kilometers. Furthermore, there is the necessary entertainment on the beach and you can participate in a BBQ at the end of the day. For all information and registration you should take a look at the website of the Obstacle Run Kijkduin.

Who accepts the challenge?

Car trunk sale Hoek van Holland

Sunday August 30 you can find the car trunk sale again in Hoek van Holland. Dozens of vendors display their wares around their cars. Fun to browse for hidden treasures.

The car trunk sale can be found on the Koningin Emmaboulevard from 7.00-17.00h.
